By now, most Californians have heard of Prop 23, the proposition that would in effect, reverse part of the state's progressive environmental safeguards. Credo Action is encouraging voters to be aware of Prop 26, another anti-environment initiative pretending to be what it is not:
"Prop 26 is Prop 23's evil twin; another harmful, deceptive initiative funded by big polluters, which would make it virtually impossible for the state to impose fees on these polluting industries — fees that California needs to enforce our global warming law."
In other words, Prop 26 would place the burden of pollution clean-up on us, the tax payers, instead of on the companies that cause the pollution in the first place.
