Defenders of Wildlife is spreading the word that "Alaska's majestic gray wolves are in grave danger. The state has issued permits to aerial gunners and pilots to chase the wolves, run them to exhaustion and shoot them from the air with high-powered rifles or land and shoot them at point-blank range. More than 1,000 wolves have already been killed, and even though former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is gone, her hand-picked Board of Game is continuing her brutal slaughter"
